My wonderful buddy, Tamara, sent me Kelly Rae Roberts book and I love it! I made these two
pieces using some of her techniques. I really liked how they turned out and I have some ideas for a few more in this series. The top one is called My Story, the photo is of my sisters, my cousin, and me around 1972. The second one is called Teacher, and the background is actual letters and cards I have gotten from students and parents over the years. I will probably add more details to the teacher's dress. I would love to get more feedback from blogland!

Honey! These are amazing!! I love love love them both, but the first one is my absolute favorite! Everything about it is perfect! Wow! I need to have a week of art time with you to learn some drawing! Wow wow wow woweeee!
I'm going to come back and look again when I wake up in the morning. They definitely deserve another looksie! Brava, my sweet friend! Brava!!!
love love love your inspiration!!! just beautiful!
Love them! I just got my book and have been reading and rereading. Didn't know where to begin, so I decided to do the cover first. I loved the look of the worry doll, but I'm not too into polymer clay, so I made tiles out of paper. I don't want to have my worries on the cover of my journal. so it may turn out to be a wish doll or a story doll, or who knows? I've cut the doll pieces out of grungeboard and will work on decorating it later.
I'm very excited about this project, and can't wait to see what everyone else is doing.
Doesn't Kelly Rae Rock?!?! I love your pieces, too. Very lovely.
Peace & Love,
~Barb~

Hi, Jennifer. I'm reading Kelly Rae Roberts book right now and that's why I begin to make art journal. Your pages are wonderful. I have never known how to draw, so it's very difficult for me. But I'll continue trying.
