Kelly had the idea to try making these cool packing tape self-sculptures. We both got started but didn't finish the project. Well. my head and torso have been haunting me ever since!
Today, my main goal was to start on the Christmas decorating before I went back to school Monday. But, I got the bug to finish this project first! My family thought I had really lost it this time. Kelly thought it would be fun to put a string of Christmas lights inside the form. I think I will try that and my mom thinks I should put a santa hat and scarf on it for the holiday. Creepy?

I am just jazzed that I actually finished it and it does look somewhat human. I did wrap parts of my body and then put the pieces together with more tape. But look how much shorter my sculpture is than the real me! So here's my shout out to Kelly, time to step up girlfriend!
Let's see your tape creation. Check in tomorrow for my weekly journal theme challenge!

it is so AWESOME! clap, clap, clap! i haven't had time to work on mine. my torso and one leg have been moved out to the garage. :0( she will have to wait to be born in the new year. but your lovely piece is urging me on.
Your sculture is too cool. I was wondering if it was life size and there you are, standing next to it!!
This is simpy amazing! You should submit it to a gallery :)
This is too cool!
I would definitely dress up your packing tape self for the holidays
I just love your sculpture. So cool.
I am tagging you and hope you will visit my blog to see what it's about...I have linked to your site because I think more people should visit & enjoy your art.
Now you know what you'll look like when you start shrinking!!!
Very cool project...maybe a little Victoria's Secret for the "new you"?
This is wild, Jen! I love it...being so very different. Good for you trying something totally out of the ordinary! I love the Christmas light idea. Great job!

OHMYGOSH, Jen . . . this packing tape sculpture really DOES look like a person!!!! I LOVE it!!!!!
too cool! good for you for actually finishing it AND posting it on your blog!
I'd need about a case of tape just to tape to make my butt!! This is really awesome. Talk about stepping "outside the box!"
That is so cool, Jen! I think you should dress it up and have it stalk your hubby and sons. One day, hubby wakes up and it's next to the bed.... One night, it's in the shower.... Oh the possibilities for driving your family mad! ;-)
That is so cool! I love how she looks like she's dancing.
This is SO cool, Jen!
I just saw someone commented about adding wings - I really like that one, though the lights would be cool too. I hope I get to meet your alter ego in person one of these days!
XO
