for the ATC give-away drawing. I thought I'd take a trip down Memory Lane and post this pic of a 15 year old me dressed as Paul Stanley of KISS ! Two of my neighbors and my little sister, Melissa, rounded out the group costume! Can you tell we are in sunny Southern California? When my kids were little I loved making their costumes every year. My youngest has only wanted store bought costumes after the mummy that came unwrapped incident! Now he's too old to Trick-or-Treat and he'll hand out candy with mom. I think I'll find and appropriate tune to add to my playlist now. Happy Halloween everybody, I hope you get your favorite candy tonight!
I have a degree in Child Development and have been teaching for 25 years. Most of these years have been spent with second graders with the exception of 4 years in first grade. I love introducing my students to the joy of reading "chapter books" and the language of literature.
I am a mixed-media artist and am lucky to be teaching at a fine arts magnet school. I use music and visual art every day in my classroom.
I have been married for 29 years and my husband teaches High School English. I have raised 4 wonderful kids and am still working on the yellow labs that live in our house.
