After cutting out my images  from sticker paper, I used the backing paper as a mask on my backgrounds. I painted the middle ones and added the faces and wings.

I had fun choosing trim and yarn from my stash to add to these ATCs.

I wrote all the names down and put them in two bowls. My son tossed them around and drew one name out of each pot.

Tinkled Pink!

                     A fellow artist put out a call for pages for a collaborative book of thanks for being published in the recent  Somerset Holidays and Celebrations  

magazine.  We were asked to use a picture of

 ourselves as children.  So... here I am at about 2 years old.  My mom was

always trying to curl my stick-straight hair!  In the other photos from that day,

My knees and hands are covered in dirt! I guess I was just born to make a mess

and that is still my idea of a good time!  For the actual page, I added glitter to my lettering and sewed some lace trim on the outer edge of the page. But this early version scanned much better.  Anyone wanna make mud pies?

My First Blog Give-Away !!!!!!

For those in blogland who may not be feeling the Halloween vibe yet, I made a trio of fairy ATCs. 

I will randomly choose a name from all the comments I get here next Sunday.  I am excited to see who the winners will be. 

Kinda Creepy ATC Give-away

After reading the vintage Halloween Somerset Studio issue, I was inspired to make some slightly

creepy ATCs.  I would like to host my very first blog give-away.  I will draw a name from the comments next Sunday and send all 3 ATCs to the winner to usher in the Fall season.  

Paper Doll on Painted Canvas

I made this paper doll a few weeks ago and wanted to mount it on a painted flat canvas. I liked how the colors looked together but it was too plain.  I drew the plants and colored them in with markers. I added the details with my white gel pen.  I thought my doll looked like a nature girl and maybe her name reflects how she feels about the fate of our planet.
