What a doll!~

The last time I met the So Cal girls at the ARTbar in Santa Ana I made this funky little dolls and sent them off in the mail. I'm sure they thought I was a total goofball- but I thought they turned out pretty cool!  I am getting ready to start a brand new school year with second grade students.  It's a crazy busy time so  I am posting some fairly recent art to get me used to the whole blogging deal.  The next picture is a mini-book I did in a color altered book RR with the theme Blue's Lessons.

Thanks for checking out my fledgling attempt at blogging.  I have been involved with yahoo art groups, swaps and RRs for two years. I desperately need a space to serve as a cyber gallery for no other reason than to track my own progress in this journey.  I have been published in several magazines and all I can list after my name is my e-mail addy.  Since no one has ever e-mailed me AND because I read blogs and would like to be  eligible for giveaways and challenges that require my own blog, here goes!  I am quickly running out of summer vacation and this was one of my goals.  My 21 year old son is home for the summer from the University of Hartford in CT.  We have only managed a few daytrips so far and are going to San Diego this weekend.  I did drag my youngest to the Getty Museum in Los Angeles last week. I spent 5 glorious hours soaking in all the art and history.  My hope is to share my art adventures, ideas, and questions with lots of people who are a little like me.
